Geotree Strategies is led by Yuliana Proenza.
Yuliana Proenza, PGeo, MEng, is a Canadian Professional Geoscientist that has worked and lived in Cuba, Russia, St. John's NF, Ottawa ON, Montreal QC, Vancouver BC and now settled in beautiful Mission, British Columbia. Yuliana has travelled in Europe, Central America and the USA and is comfortable stumbling through her conversational and experiential knowledge of French, Spanish and Russian in addition to being fluent in English.
Yuliana has been working in the Canadian mineral exploration industry as a geoscientist since 2006. She has focused on uranium and gold and copper, working at deposits in northern Quebec, northern Saskatchewan, northern BC and Nunavut. She provides technical support and has a deep understanding of the importance of capturing cross-cultural knowledge.
Her geological background is complemented with a focus on anthropology and working alongside Aboriginal peoples. She believes in allyship with Indigenous First Nations and equitable representation within the mining industry.
